Staggering A Wooden Garden Bridge Creates Interest
When constructing a garden bridge at home, you could always stagger the bridge planks for something different. Apart from looking more interesting, back in Ancient Japan the thinking was that by staggering a wooden garden bridge you would be able to confuse evil spirits and stop them from crossing over onto your land. One advantage of staggering the bridge is that you can place feature plants at the different corners such as water iris etc. In the example shown the only thing I would change would be to overlap the bridge pieces a bit more as them seem a bit narrow otherwise it’s an excellent example of a staggered wooden garden bridge.
